7 Day (7 Night) South Island New Zealand Coast to Coast Tour

Day 1: Christchurch to Franz Josef Glacier (via Arthurs Pass)

Leave Christchurch & drive west through the main divide to the unspoilt beauty of the West Coast. First stop is at Arthurs Pass for morning tea.

Accommodation (2nd Night) - We stay in a Franz Josef Bella Vista Motel Apartments.

Day 2: Franz Josef Glacier

The next day we visit the spectacular Franz Josef Glacier. A short walk takes us up close to waterfalls and the glacier for some great photos.

On the way to Queenstown you can photograph the picturesque Lakes Wanaka and Hawea. Also view and photograph waterfalls and walk to the blue pools.

Heading further south takes us to spectacular Queenstown where you will check in to your hotel and then enjoy time to yourself exploring this beautiful alpine town.

Accommodation - Stay in Queenstown's beautiful Copthorne Hotel. The hotel is centrally located and you are guaranteed lake views from your room.

Day 3: Deer Park Heights and Te Anau (Glow Worm Caves)

The next morning, visit Deer Park Heights and see many animals plus take in the fabulous 360 degree views of Queenstown. You will also view filming locations from the Lord of the Rings movie.

Next, we travel to Lake Te Anau (beautiful Fiordland). That evening, you take an exciting excursion to the glow-worm caves on the far side of lake Te Anau (fabulous).

Accommodation (4th Night) - Your 4th night is at Bella Vista Motel Apartments.

Day 4: Travel to Spectacular Milford Sound (Fiordland).

The next morning we travel to spectacular Milford Sound. This ecological wonderland will take your breath away (also see mirror lakes & the Chasm).

Enjoy an exciting adventure exploring the mighty Fiords on a Milford Sound boat cruise. See waterfalls, Dolphins, Seals and much more.

Accommodation (5th Night) - Your 5th night is at Bella Vista Motel Apartments in Te Anau.

Day 5: Return to Queenstown (Morning)

On the fifth day you will enjoy a thrill-seeking Jet Boat ride through the deep canyons of the Shotover river. An adrenalin rush to remember.

Next you will enjoy a scenic Gondola ride to the Skyline Restaurant and Luge where you can take in the sectacular mountain and lake views.

Your day isn't quite complete without an exhilerating ride on the Skyline Luge. An enjoyable way to finish your day in Queenstown.

Accommodation (6th Night) - Spend your 6th night at the Copthorne Hotel.

Day 6: Travel to Christchurch

Heading north, we pass the picturesque Lake Pukaki with spectacular views of Aoraki/Mt Cook (New Zealand's highest mountain).

We also stop for photos at the picturesque lake tekapo. The views looking up the lake to the mountains beyond are spectacular.

Heading further north, we drive past lush green farmland of Canterbury where you will see lots of sheep, cattle and also deer.

Accommodation (7th Night) - Your 7th night's accommodation is at the Scenic Circle Hotel in Christchurch.

Day 7: Christchurch

On the seventh day we explore the beautiful garden city of Christchurch. This includes the Museum and Botanical gardens.

In the afternoon of day 7 we take you to the Antarctic centre where you can experience life in Antarctica. A fun and educational outing for all.

While at the Antartic Centre, view real living Blue Penguins up close and personal. A memorable experience - especially for the children.
