3 Day (4 Night) Southern Lakes Tour (Christchurch to Queenstown & Milford Sound via Mt Cook)

  • We will pick you up from Christchurch International Airport.
  • Your arrival night's stay is at the beautiful Scenic Circle Hotel.

    Day 1: Christchurch to Queenstown (via Mackenzie Lakes)

    Canterbury Plains
    We leave from Christchurch and drive south passing lush green farmland of Canterbury where you will see lots of sheep, cattle and deer farms.

  • Lake Tekapo

  • Heading inland, the landscape soon changes from rolling hills to spectacular mountains and lakes. We stop at Lake Tekapo for photos and lunch.

  • Mt Cook

  • We also pass the picturesque Lake Pukaki with spectacular views of Mt Cook (New Zealand's highest mountain).

  • Queenstown

  • Heading further south takes us to spectacular Queenstown where you will check in to your hotel and then enjoy time to yourself exploring this beautiful alpine town.

  • Copthorne Hotel Queenstown

  • Accommodation - Stay in Queenstown's beautiful Copthorne Hotel. The hotel is centrally located and you are guaranteed lake views from your room.

  • Day 2: Te Anau and Milford Sound (Fiordland)

    Lake Te Anau
    The next day we visit the beautiful Fiordland National park where we stop at the picturesque Lake Te Anau for photos and a bite to eat.

  • Our final stop for the day is at the spectacular Milford Sound - an ecological and natural wonderland that will take your breath away .

  • Milford Sound Boat Cruise

  • Enjoy an exciting adventure exploring the mighty Fiords on a Milford Sound boat cruise. See waterfalls, Dolphins, Seals and much more.

  • Accommodation (3rd Night) - We return to Queenstown where you spend your third night at the Copthorne Hotel.



  • Day 3: Queenstown (and returning to Christchurch)

    Shotover Jet Boat
    Begin the day with a thrilling ride on the Shotover Jet Boat speeding through the deep canyons of the Shotover river. An adrenalin rush to remember.

  • Skyline Gondola

  • Next you will enjoy a scenic Gondola ride to the Skyline Restaurant and Luge where you can take in the spectacular mountain and lake views.

  • Skyline Luge

  • Your day isn't quite complete without an exhilerating ride on the Skyline Luge. An enjoyable way to finish your day in Queenstown.

  • Return to Christchurch (leaving Queenstown at approximately 1pm, arriving Christchurch at 8pm). Your 4th night stay is back at the beautiful Scenic Circle Hotel.
